Willow with Floral Wreath

I have entered this card into the following challenges:

Whiff of Joy - where the only rule is to use a stamped image from Whiff of Joy

Spoon Full of Sugar - the challenge is to use distressed ink, pearls and glitter.

Crafty Catz - where they would like to see ribbon and a fancy edge.

Cute Card Thursday -where they would like to a little or a lot of ribbon.

C.R.A.F.T - the theme is ribbons and sparkles.

The backing papers are Basic Grey 'Euphoria' range layered onto silver holographic card. The image was cut out with a nestability circle, edged with Stickles and pink distressed ink and backed onto a larger scalloped nestability circle. I used my Crop-a-dile to make eyelets each side of the image before threading 3 colours of thin satin ribbons and tying in a double knot. The bottom edge of the pink strip of paper was punched out with a Martha Stewart punch.

The sentiment which i edged with pink distressed ink and Stickles is from Pink Gem Design.

The flowers I have used are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the buttons, ribbons and pearls are from my stash.

The stamped image is called 'Willow with Floral Wreath' and is part of the Willow and Oakley Spring 2009 collection from Whiff of Joy.

I ♥ Promarkers Challenge - Spring

As I ♥ promarkers, I thought I had better enter this weeks challenge. The theme is 'Spring'.
The backing papers are from 'Papermania Spring Time' paper pack layered onto gold holographic card.
The image is a Magnolia stamp coloured with promarkers, of course, and cut out with a nestabilities label 4 , layered onto gold holographic card.
The flower was cut out with a die I bought from a show in Leamington, using the same papers.
Sentiment and gems from my stash.

Pink Gem Design Challenge (February 2010)

This is my very first attempt at entering a challenge through blogs.

The challenge this month is to use pink colours and/or gems, but must use a Pink Gem Design stamped image.

The main card is 7" x 7" and has been matt and layered using holographic polka dot card and backing papers from my stash.

I added a piece of frilly ribbon across the front of the layered card.

I cut the image out using a Cuttlebug and a Nestability Label 8 cutting die. Layered onto a holographic polka dot card.

I used the 'Summer Milly' rubber stamp and coloured her in using several shades of pink promarkers and touches of spica glitter pens.

The mulberry flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the leaves are punched out with the polka dot card using Martha Stewart punch and the glass effect flowers/gems are from my stash.

I finished off by stamping a Pink Gem Design sentiment, layered onto the same polka dot card.

Denny Dragon

The backing papers are Basic Grey and We R Memory Keepers from our wonderful local craftshop 'BEE CRAFTY'.
The image is just brilliant and is called Denny Dragon from Pink Gem Designs. I coloured him in using promarkers with touches of spica glitter pens. The cobbled stone effect is a separate stamp made by Art Impressions and I created the effect by masking the bottom half of Denny.
The horizontal and vertical strips are glitter card backed onto Mulberry paper.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The leaves were created using a Martha Stewart punch and the sentiments were cut out from a stamp by Inkadinkado.

Karaoke Queen - Birthday Card

My Daughter asked me to make a birthday card for her Husband's Aunty who is a Karaoke singer.
I downloaded the music backing paper from the internet.
The bodice is a peel-off which I applied to a piece of black card. The eyelets were punched out using my crop-a-dile. I then threaded the red ribbon through the eyelets to give a lace effect, then tied into a bow at the top. The skirt is made is feathers and jewelled pins, they were both stuck to the backing paper using Pinflair Glue.
The sentiment is stamped up using a Pink Gem Design stamp.

No Stamped Image! (Lets get stamping challenge w/c 13th February 2010)

CARD No. 2
I decided to make an easel card for this attempt, as I needed a fairly large space for my handmade fan.
Backing papers are from a Joanna Sheen CD, as is the paper for the fan element.

No Stamped Image! (Lets get stamping challenge w/c 13th February 2010)

CARD No. 1

Another great sketchie from Lauren this week, no stamped image, embellishments were to be the main focus of the card.
Here I used a paper image, cut out and decoupaged. I added glossy accents to the floral part and in reality it looks like porcelein. I then added a feather to give it a parisian effect.
Backing papers are from a Joanna Sheen CD. I chose this particular backing paper because it has images of faces/heads on!
The corner punch is from 'Silvermoon'.

Birthday Card for my Nephew

This is a card that I made for my sister to give to her son for his birthday.
I made a easel card and layered backing papers from a disc I had free from a magazine a while ago, onto gold mirri card. I used a nestability label to layer an image of a 'Dakota' aircraft.

Stationery Challenge w/c 30th January 2010

The Lets Get Stamping challenge this week is based around layers, shapes and using anything from our stationery drawers!!

My design has been made using a double sided 12 x 12 paper. I chose the beige colour because it reminded me of the colour of an envelope. I folded the paper in half, then half again to leave me with a 6 x 6 card.

I folded back the front top right hand corner of the outer and inner sides using a EK Sucess stapler to secure the fold to form pockets.

I downloaded an image of a ruler and layered it onto red pearlescent card.

In the front pocket, I stamped my flower image by 'Inkadinkado' onto Bristol Board, coloured with Promarkers and attached it to a brown parcel tag.
In the inner pocket, I stamped my sentiment and postage stamp again on Bristol Board using Tim Holtz Distressed Ink pad. I threaded a treasury tag through the flowers and secured them to the tag with a large paperclip which had been coloured with a Promarker.

Interlocking Challenge - w/c 23rd January 2010

This is another sketchie from Lets Get Stamping over on Craftbubble set by Cherry. The twist was 'interlocking'.

I used an 8 x 8 base card and layered it up with some backing papers from my stash onto pink pearlescent card. I stamped a Whiff of Joy image and coloured with Promarkers.

My interpretation of 'interlocking' is the eyelets and ribbon I used to join the layered image onto the larger back layer. I also used a buckle charm on the horizontal layer.
