Christmas Cracker Favours

Hello fellow crafters

Hope you all had a very enjoyable Christmas and Boxing Day.

My Christmas Day was very quiet, I cooked a gammon joint for Hubbie, Eldest Daughter, Grandchild and myself. Then Boxing Day we had my youngest Daughter, her 2 boys, her husband and my hubbies cousin and her family. I cooked the works, Turkey and all the trimmings!! It was very enjoyable.

I bought some cracker templates from Which Craft (http://www.whichcraftuk.co.uk/paulas-crackers-c100130.html)

and filled them with favours for each guest, minature bottles for the Men and Kath Kidston hand cream and a Lindor chocolate for the Ladies.

I wish all my followers a very Happy, healthy and safe New Year!!

The fancy blue die is from a Nellie Snellen circular die set.

The little metal butterflies are a pair of ear-rings I bought from Asda costing me £1 per pair from their bargain rail.

hAnglar & stAnglar Sailor Kid

I have made this card for my oldest Daughter's birthday and thought I could enter it into these challenges:

Craft Mad and Loving It - follow a sketchie with a theme to use corrugated card (punched hearts)
Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge Blog - Theme is 'anything goes with an option of adding lace'
Top Tip Tuesday - Theme is 'Wrap it up in ribbon'
One Stop Craft Challenge - theme is 'Texture' (I have used lace, ribbon, glitter on my flowers, corrugated card for my punched hearts)
Cute Card Thursday - theme is 'Embellish it'
Crafts and Me Challenge - theme is 'Punch it out'
Flutter By Wednesday - theme is 'Open' (must show a fairy, butterfly or angel)
Charisma Cardz Challenge - theme is 'Something that flies' (my butterfly)

The papers are Basic Grey - Porcelain.

I coloured the hAnglar & stAnglar Sailor Kid image with watercolour pencils and Sansador. This is the first time I have used these pencils. I am happy with the result, with a little more practise I think I have found the perfect medium.

I have used a Martha Stewart border punch to edge the red card.

The hearts are a Martha Stewart punch also.

I have punched a doo-hickey die from red card and placed a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts to the front, blinged with glitter.

The crocheted doily, ribbon, butterfly and gems are from my stash.

The sentiment is a Spellbinders banner die, stamped with a magazine freebie.

hAnglar & stAnglar - Girl Sitting

Backing papers are from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Vintage Shabby paperstack.
Image is a hAnglar & stAnglar stamp which I recently purchased and has been coloured with promarkers.
The Nestabilities used, which the image is sitting on, is the scalloped and plain circle die. The die which I have edged with Chipped Sapphire Tim Holtz distressing ink and Star Dust Stickles is a Marianne Design.
I have used a Martha Stewart border punch to create the fancy edge at the bottom of the card.
Sentiment has been stamped using the Chipped Sapphire distressing ink and is from Pink Gem Design.
The white roses (although this photograph has made them look a little yellow) are from Wild Orchid crafts and the blue flowers are what I created using a number of single blooms.
The lace, corner embellishment and diamond gems are from my stash.
The challenges I am entering this card into are:
Wild Orchid Challenge - theme is 'Dieing to punch it out'

hAnglar stAnglar - Girl holding rose

HIP HIP HOORAY!!!! I'M BACK AT IT!!!

I have managed to make a card, the first since before Christmas and now I know the reason why it has taken me so long. I cleared all my crafting stash away from the Lounge to the bedroom for the festive season and could not bear to fetch it all back down again. I decided what I would need for the card and took it downstairs. It has taken me two nights to make it as I was up and down stairs like a yo-yo for bits and pieces. I will never make another card under these circumstances again, so I need to sort something out.

Do I craft in the Lounge or do I craft upstairs??

I have also decorated the inside of the card ...........

The image is from hAnglar and stAnglar which I adore, she has been coloured using promarkers. The backing papers are Botanical range from Prima and the circle diecut is a Marianne Design. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts which have been touched up with a glimmer mist spray and brushed with Walnut Stain Tim Holtz distressing ink. The sentiment is a Tim Holtz Adage Ticket. The seam binding ribbon, corner silver embellishment and pearls are from my stash.

I have made this card for the following challenges:

Craft Mad & Loving It Sketch Challenge # 32 set by Blodwyn35, the theme being "All that glisters, glistens, shimmers, sparkles, twinkles, shines..."

Papertake Weekly - anything goes.

Wild Orchid Challenge - anything goes.

Stamp Something - theme is "Something with flowers".

Sweet Stampin Challenge - theme is "Oh so girly".

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C76 - theme is "flowers".

The backing papers and christmas tree are from Nitwits Collection 'Heavenly'.
