Melinda blowing kisses

I have entered this card into Whiff of Joy challenge where we were asked to follow a sketchie and use a Whiff of Joy stamped image. I have used Melinda blowing kisses from the Guardian Angel range by Elisabeth Bell for Whiff of Joy.
I have used a 6x6 card stock, layered with paper from my stash.
The image has been coloured with promarkers and Spica glitter pens to give the bling on her wings and cut out with a Nestability Label 11.
The pink strip has been embossed using a floral folder and cuttlebug.
I have added a blue gem on each flower to give extra dimension.
The card candy are little Mother of Pearl flat beads, which were from my stash.
The 2 flowers in the top right corner are from my stash, with little blue buttons that have been threaded with ric-rac ribbon and tied in a bow.

Glamorous

I have entered this card into the following challenges:

Lets Get Stamping where we have to follow a sketchie with a recipe of 1 brad, 1 bow and 1 button.

Sketch Saturday where we have to follow a sketchie, but no theme.

Moving along with the times - to follow a sketchie and with an open theme.

The stamped image is called 'Special Day' from the Wild Rose Studio range which I bought from my local craft shop Bee Crafty and coloured with Grey shades of Promarkers and touched up with Spica glitter pens in red. I used Label 6 Nestability die backed onto plain red card, inked around the edges with Tim Holtz distressing inks.

I have tried some very drastic distressing and backing papers. I thought the image was crying out for something very regal as she looks like she is off to some posh do, and these papers remind me of those you would find in some stately home. They are from a paper pad I bought from QVC about 2 years ago, I knew I would find a use for them someday.

I used a white piece of card punched out both sides with a Silvermoon border punch for the layer behind the image using the same distressing inks as above.

I created the sentiment off my computer. Buttons, brads and ribbon are from my stash.

I used a stamp roller to create the backing paper. The image is one I acquired in a recent stamp swap, coloured with promarkers and touches of Spica glitter pens, cut out using Nestabilities Label 11.
The corners were created using a Sizzix photo corner die cut and the punch I used for the butterflies is from the Tonic range of punches.
I used a Silvermoon border punch to create the border.
The flower, ribbon and sentiment are from my stash.
